AfroGalea: The Flames That Wane
A downloadable game for Windows
AfroGalea: The Flames That Wane
The moon has vanished from the night's sky! Meanwhile, two cities have fallen under the spell of war! Set out on a diplomatic adventure where your words matter most. This game introduces an avant garde mechanic in which you interact with characters by typing in your own dialog. As you explore each city, you must converse with the citizens to figure out how to put an end to the conflict. With the power of dialog comes the ability to learn about characters through countless unique conversations.
In addition to social exploration, this game features platforming sword-and-shield action! With your shield, you can block left, right, or overhead from enemy attacks as you make your way through perilous levels. Made with GameMaker 8.0 and GuitarPro 5.
Edited 08/26/20: Fixed minor issues including a broken button event, paralysis during mill stage, and an inconsistency with the dialog box at the temple.
Edited 02/4/21: Fixed menu responsiveness.
Edited 06/01/22: Fixed a button event that broke a cutscene. You are now allowed to press the "down" arrow during the departure without freaking the game out.
